An Outline of the Process We Follow When Beginning A New Project
*Important Note* Each project is unique to itself, the steps may change to fit the needs of each specific project
- Initial Consultation and Quoting: We will meet with you (more than likely over the phone) to discuss your needs and vision for the project. Many times, we can provide an initial estimate or quote based on the information provided by you during the consultation. This information includes photos, sketches, site pictures, or architectural drawings.
- Client Acceptance: Once you accept the preliminary quote and a deposit is received, we can proceed to the next steps.
- Measurements and Site Visit: After the quote is approved we will schedule a site visit to take precise measurements of the space where the metalwork will be installed. We also assess any specific requirements or challenges at the site.
- Material Selection: Once the measurements are taken, we select the appropriate materials for the project based on the approved design specifications and site measurements.
- Design Phase:
- Concept Development: We’ll create initial sketches or concepts based on your vision and requirements.
- Client Review: We’ll present the initial design concepts to you for review and feedback.
- Refinement: We then incorporate any feedback provided by you into the design concepts.
- Client Approval: We finalize the design and obtain approval from you before proceeding to measurements.
- Fabrication: All custom metal fabrication is done here in our shop in Gainesville, Florida.
- Quality Control: We’ll inspect the fabricated components to ensure they meet the required specifications in terms of dimensions, aesthetics, and structural integrity.
- Installation
- Installation, Alignment, and Adjustment: We’ll install the metalwork according to the approved design and drawings, following any specific instructions or guidelines. We then make any necessary adjustments to ensure that the metalwork fits correctly and functions as intended.
- Anchoring: We’ll secure the metalwork in place using appropriate anchoring methods.
- Final Inspection: We conduct a final inspection to ensure that the installed metalwork meets our expectations and complies with any relevant safety standards or building codes.
- Client Acceptance: We’ll obtain final approval from you, and address any remaining concerns or issues.
